Renuka V. Los Angeles, CA 4.0 star rating 11/1/2012 4 of us went for Halloween dinner last night. We shared a few small plates which were big enough for 4 of us to have more than just a tiny bite. Also ordered 2 main courses. Small plates:- GreenBeans+figs+burrata+serrano ham+walnut brittle - very good ( and i don't even really like green beans!) Chicken liver+peach terrine which came with country bread-delicious! Grilled cheese+short ribs+tallegio+apricot caper puree on a raisin walnut bread - Recommended by the server and yep - it was a table favorite! Mustard glazed pork belly w candied quince+chestnuts-also recommended by the server but maybe because it came last, didn't think it was as good as the above plates! However, combined it later with the pasta and it was good! For mains, had the branzino as well as the only pasta dish on the menu - both were ok, but not as good as the small plates were, taste wise. For dessert, as recommended by the server, we shared the apple beignets which came with 2 types of Guinness sauces and yep - it was good! I also had only bourbon cocktail on the menu which was quite good indeed and their house pour cabernet was delicious! Must add that we were given freshly baked bread to start and actually got 2 rounds of it since it was that good! After dinner, the uber chef actually PERFORMED his Elvis set at the bar area and yep - the band was good! He does this annually and we thoroughly enjoyed our Halloween treat!
